We hereby declare the completion of Project Prabha with the satisfaction of achieving the target within two years. We want to thank all the volunteers, Teachers, Parents, CRCCs and DQMs who guided us on the implementation of the project and helped us on every step.
In 2 years, we were able to reach 82 students in 3 villages. Out of those, 34 students dropped out due to financial problems (they stopped going to school and started working in nearby Tea plantations, Brick furnaces and other daily wages work). We talked and advised their parents on the issue of child labour and the importance of education. We engaged with those students for a year to supplement them with free school books (thanks to Balipara DQM for providing us with the materials) and mentored them with TLM and other resources. By the end of 2016, we successfully enrolled 27 students with the help of school teachers and principals. We also want to extend our gratitude to the School teachers of Dekargaon Primary/High School and Teleria Prathomik Vidyalaya for supporting our vision and helping us with the enrollments.

The rest 48 students mostly belonged to Schools with less infrastructure (Low classroom ratio, Low Teacher-student ratio). We supplemented them with learning resources and encouraged them to participate in various school/district-based speech, quizzes, debate competitions for the development of interpersonal and intellectual skills. We are grateful for the participation of volunteers who helped us in creating various course content, aided us with the assessment process and many more......
We hope to start a new project with a much larger target and new visions. We will keep you posted.
